MJX Hyper Go 16212 What Are the Signs of Leaking Shocks?
You can check whether the shocks of your MJX Hyper Go 16212 are leaking from visual signs and driving feel.
First, visual signs:
- You will spot oil residue on the shock body or seal area. Oil and dust build up around the shock shaft and oil seal to form oily sludge. Minor seepage only leaves a thin oil film, while serious leakage causes oil to run down the shock body or even drip.
- Oil stains mostly appear at the base of the shock shaft, and occasionally on the top cap or air bladder.
- After wiping it clean and running for one or two battery packs, oil quickly shows up again.
Next, driving performance signs:
- Damping becomes weak. The vehicle bounces heavily and keeps shaking multiple times after landing, just like running only with springs without oil damping.
- Uneven height and tilting chassis are typical for single-side leakage. The truck sits lopsided and handles inconsistently and unstably during cornering or jumps.
- If the four shocks leak at different rates, you will get strange handling on straight lines and when steering, and your suspension tuning will be inconsistent.
These are all common symptoms of leaking shocks on the MJX Hyper Go 16212. RC players can check them one by one.
