Tested JJRC C8832: Is This the Best Budget RC Basher of the Year?
Let’s be real for a second. Whenever you hear the words "budget RC car," you usually expect flimsy plastic gears, bouncy friction shocks, and a chassis that snaps on the first jump. But recently, I got my hands on JJRC C8832, and let me tell you—this 1/10 scale off-roader completely rewrites the rules for budget bashers.

Weighing in at a beefy 2820g and available in sick colors like Purple, Green, and Red, this rig feels like an absolute tank straight out of the box. Here is a breakdown of why this truck is legitimately impressive.
A Drivetrain Built Like a Tank
If you bash hard, you know that plastic drive components are the first things to snap. JJRC clearly knew this, because they went all out on the metal. The C8832 features medium carbon steel front CVDs, rear dog bones, wheel cups, and differential cups. They even threw in a medium carbon steel center drive shaft!
Add in the powder metallurgy gears (13T pinion and 58T spur) and a sealed planetary gear diff, and you’ve got a bulletproof 4WD system that can handle serious abuse without stripping gears.
Next-Level Chassis & Handling
Handling on budget cars is usually terrible, but not here. The chassis is made of durable PA Nylon for flex, but it’s heavily reinforced with an aluminum H-shaped upper deck and aluminum chassis plates.
For the suspension, you’re getting true double A-arm independent suspension with adjustable aluminum oil-filled shocks. No bouncy toy-grade suspension here—it lands jumps beautifully. They even upgraded the stress points with zinc alloy steering knuckles and suspension mounts. Oh, and did I mention the whole rig rolls on 26 full-ball bearings? It is buttery smooth.
Reliable Brushed Power
Under the hood, it’s rocking a classic 550 Brushed Motor paired with a very capable 2S 60A Brushed ESC. Running on the included 7.4V 2S 2300mAh battery, it pushes over 33km/h (about 20mph). That is the sweet spot for backyard bashing and dirt trails—fast enough to pop wheelies and catch air, but controllable enough that you won't instantly obliterate it into a tree. Plus, the 3-wire 6KG servo gives you responsive, hobby-grade steering.
The Verdict & Where to Get Yours
With a 12-minute runtime and a 100-meter range, the JJRC C8832 is one of the most durable, heavily upgraded 1/10 scale brushed rigs I’ve seen in this price range. It blurs the line between a budget truck and a high-end basher.
