How to Fix Excessive Slop on MJX 10304 Front Steering Knuckle?

If your MJX Hyper Go 10304 suffers from loose steering and excessive slop on the front steering knuckle, first inspect the worn bearings, ball cups and hinge pins.

Once you confirm the slop comes from the front steering knuckle, follow these fixes:

  1. Add thin shims to reduce end play, but do not over-shim to avoid steering binding. Note that shims only eliminate vertical movement and cannot fix radial slop between the shaft and hole.
  2. Apply threadlock to the front steering knuckle mounting screws, and replace any worn ball ends or loose bearings.
  3. If the stock plastic knuckle is worn out, upgrade to an aluminum front steering knuckle for tighter and more precise steering. Always leave a tiny bit of clearance to stop the suspension from binding under impacts.

If you want to buy an upgraded aluminum front steering knuckle for the MJX 10304, you can pick this one: MJX 10304 Upgrade Parts Front Steering Knuckle.
